Description
This specimen features the pristine scarce, optically transparent, and colorless pseudo-cubic apophyllite crystal on a reddish-brown, iron-stained Basalt. The tetragonal blocky apophyllite crystals are aesthetically scattered on the high contrast hematite matrix plate, which is also covered with stilbite growth. The largest (fluorapophyllite) crystals reach 3 cm across and are lustrous and translucent. This was a one-time small pocket find hit in 2022. Very esthetic, well crystallized, and not damaged.
