Description
This specimen features the pristine scarce, optically transparent, and colorless pseudo-cubic apophyllite crystal on a reddish-brown, iron-stained Basalt. The tetragonal blocky apophyllite crystals are aesthetically scattered on the high contrast hematite matrix plate, which is also covered with stilbite growth. The largest (fluorapophyllite) crystals reach 3.5 cm across and are lustrous and translucent. This was a one-time small pocket find hit in 2022. Very esthetic and well crystallized.
